Solas Festival is not a profit-making enterprise and would not exist without the financial support of others. However, our financial situation going forward is not secure. If you think that Solas Festival is a good thing to have in the world, perhaps you would consider making a donation - it would really mean a lot to us! The button below will allow you to make one off or regular donations.

Become a Solas Saint

Saints are the loyal band of supporters across Scotland (and beyond) who value Solas Festival and have pledged to give money regularly to support it. Solas Saints make Solas Festival possible.

This could include you.

Why become a Saint?

Thanks to the support of Solas Saints the festival has been able to grow and develop, and become accessible to an ever-widening audience. For the past three years, Saints’ donations enabled us to offer hospitality and transport to over 70 refugees from all over Scotland to attend the festival. This is both an honour and a privilege. We have also been able to support young volunteers to take part and learn valuable skills. But we’d like to do even more…

In coming years, we hope to be able to continue to support people who may not otherwise have the opportunity to be part of the Solas community. We can only do this with the backing of people who have a little extra to contribute. If you value, respect and enjoy Solas and you have a little to spare please think about signing up to become a saint – you can do it via the link below.

What’s in it for you?

You’ll be updated regularly on our progress, programming and financial information. We also welcome your opinions and ideas – by becoming a Saint you’re becoming part of the Solas team. Or if you think we’re doing a great job already then sit back, relax and watch what a difference your donation can make!

How much?

Whatever you can manage will help us. Most of our Saints give gifts ranging from £5 to £30 a month. One-off donations are also welcome.

How?

It’s so easy. Choose your regular giving amount and sign up on our Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) secure page.

Gift Aid

If you’re a UK taxpayer we’ll also be able to claim Gift Aid on your donation. Gift Aid was introduced by the government in April 2000 and allows charities to reclaim the tax you have already paid on your donations. For example, each £1 donated by you will be worth £1.25 to us once we have reclaimed the tax. On a donation of £10, this will mean an extra £2.50 for our work. And it doesn’t cost you a thing.
