The Dab Hands is a vibrant and daft piece of walkabout theatre. They are giant colourful light-up hands offering playfulness, colour, music, dance and non-verbal interaction - a multi-sensory invitation to play for all ages. Originally commissioned by Puppet Animation Scotland for the Manipulate Festival 2023, The Dab Hands glow with multi-coloured LED lighting which heightens the experience during the day, and the colours really pop at night or in a low-light space. They can be manipulated by the performer to wave, point and give a giant thumbs up. They are equipped with speakers that play 90s dance music to accompany the interaction. The way they move and the atmosphere they bring is best described by one word: daft.
