Site description

Solas Festival is held at the Errol Park – between Perth and Dundee. The site itself is mostly flat grassy fields. On the festival field there is an outside music stage, a bar tent and 3 large marquees which are used for speakers, films and workshops. The area of the field used for the festival is mostly flat, the field gently slopes away behind the tents to a wall. The space is open and it is easy to reach quieter parts.

The festival field is around 200m walk from the main campsite, across slightly longer grass/rougher terrain. There is also an accessible campsite 40m walk from the festival field across a tarmac track. There is an inside venue in an old stables building, which has step free access via a cobbled courtyard and a concrete floor. The distance between the barn and the furthest away stage on the field is approximately 100 metres. We do not have viewing platforms, but as we are a small, relaxed festival we are confident you will be able to find a spot which is just right for you to enjoy the music. We are happy to assist you with this.

Parking

Blue badge parking and taxi drop off point is approximately 80 metres from the main festival site.

Camping

Accessible camping is situated 40 metres from the festival field. The field is flat and there is ample space for tents, vehicles and live in vehicles. Access can be arranged to an indoor accessible toilet. We are also happy to discuss other camping options.

Toilets

There are accessible modular toilets at the main festival field and at the campsite as well as indoor accessible toilets at the stables. There are no showers on site, but if you specifically require a shower, let us know and we may be able to arrange this.

First Aid and welfare

West Coast EMS provide First Aid in a dedicated indoor first aid space throughout the festival. We may be able to make fridge space available for medications; please ask us about this.

Access to performance

At present we do not have BSL interpretation, captioning or audio description – however, we’re working on it – watch this space!

Assistance dogs

We welcome registered assistance dogs onsite.

Strobe lighting

Solas Festival operates a strobe-free policy.
